Meet Jen & Rory
About Jen from Longevity Bender. Jen sits with plants.

I’m Jen, and I’ve been obsessed with nutrition and healthy living since I was seven years old (thanks to my brother and a rather eye-opening book on factory farming). That’s when I became a vegetarian, and let’s just say it wasn’t exactly a popular choice for a child in the mid-90s. I had to learn to cook for myself because my parents weren’t about to join me on the veggie train, and that’s where my passion for food and health truly began.

By the time I was 15, I was already the weirdo who loved sneaking vegetables into every dish, seeing just how many I could cram into a meal without anyone noticing. I’ve been doing this ever since—first as a challenge, then as a passion, and eventually as a career.

I had a bakery in the US that catered to allergy restricted diets. When I decided to close up shop to travel the world, I took my skills with me—selling baked goods at farmers markets in Costa Rica and becoming known as the “cake girl” in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

I’ve spent decades diving deep into nutrition, reading scientific studies for fun (yes, I’m that person), and experimenting with how to make healthy food taste incredible. I have been a professional recipe developer for various companies since 2011.

Immortal Love

I met Rory in Chiang Mai, Thailand. On our third date, we revealed that we both planned to be immortal, and then decided let’s be immortal together forever.

After two months of dating, I nervously told Rory, “We need to talk.” Instead of relationship drama, I gave him a crash course on food systems and why we should avoid cheap, pesticide-laden produce from China. To my surprise and delight, Rory didn’t get defensive—he just said, “Thanks for letting me know,” and switched to organic. This set the tone for the rest of our relationship, where we are always open to learning from each other, growing, and improving. He even handed me the smoothie reins, transforming them from gray-green sludge to vibrant purple bowls of vitality. Now, we kick off every morning with nutty pudding.

To us, longevity is all about having a great time. Most things that lead to longevity make us so happy in the short term. We’ve learned so much about what it takes to thrive as a couple committed to wellness and longevity, and now we’re excited to share our journey, insights, and tips with you. Whether it’s our approach to health, our partnership strategies, or just how we keep each other laughing along the way, we’ve got a lot of ground to cover.

Why Longevity Bender?

So why the name “Longevity Bender”? For starters, it makes us laugh—which is pretty much a requirement in our house. We’re all about going hard in this lifestyle, taking everything to the next level, but in a way that’s joyful, not stressful.

Plus, I’ve always loved Avatar: The Last Airbender, and the idea of being a “longevity bender” just felt right. We’re bending the rules of what it means to age, to live, and to thrive.

What We Offer

At Longevity Bender, we’re here to share our favorite longevity recipes, tips, and tricks for living a long, happy life. Whether it’s a nutrient-packed breakfast, a new wellness practice, or insights from our travels, we aim to make longevity accessible, enjoyable, and something you can embrace with a smile.

We’re excited to have you join us on this journey. Together, let’s explore what it means to live well, laugh often, and make the most out of every day—because longevity is all about enjoying the ride.

Welcome to the Longevity Bender family!
